Australia has a variety of home-grown beers that are national favourites (as most countries do) but, perhaps you can't always find them in Japan.
Many Japanese go to Australia to study English or on the Working-Holiday Visa program, or even just to travel, and they fall in love with the delicious Aussie beers!
In Japan it's often difficult to find certain international beers. A couple of great Australian beers that you are sure to find at The Rock Aussie Sports Bar & Grill in Nagoya include
Victoria Bitter
and
Coopers Original Pale Ale.
Vee Bee (VB), as it is called, is considered to be very smooth and easy to drink. Perhaps that is why it has been on the market for over 150 years! You can actually find this beer in a couple of bars around Nagoya, but we promise it will taste better at The Rock - especially with one of our house-made meat pies!
Coopers is one of the most popular beers in Australia, but is difficult to find in Japan. This beer is made in South Australia, and is unique due to it's top fermentation and bottle conditioning. This gives the beer a cloudy appearance, due to the yeast residue remaining in the bottle. Around Sakae (the central down-town district of Nagoya), The Rock is probably the only place you will find Coopers.
If you are interested in trying some fabulous Aussie beer in Japan, you should definitely come to
The Rock Aussie Sports Bar & Grill in Nagoya!
You can have a taste of home or memories of your stay in Australia!
